Degree Programs

The Institut Jazz is part of the Basel Academy of Music at the FHNW and creates a musical environment where diverse traditions, perspectives, and artistic approaches come together. 

As a member of the Directors Conference of Swiss Jazz Schools (DKSJ), the International Association of Schools of Jazz (IASJ) and the Association Européenne des Conservatoires (AEC), the Institut Jazz is connected to national and international networks. These partnerships provide students with opportunities to take part in collaborative projects, study abroad and participate in international exchange programs.

The Institut Jazz is also part of the EUJAM (European Jazz Master), a joint master's program offered by leading European jazz institutions. The program promotes international mobility, artistic exchange and cross-border collaboration, giving students the opportunity to gain study experience at partner institutions across Europe.
