Wlodarczyk/Plecher duo, that was chosen from 140 bands from 38 countries to perform on one of the oldest and most renowned jazz contests in Europe - B-Jazz International Jazz Competition, earlier known as Jazz Hoeilaart.
Grzegorz and Stephan met for the first time at the „Generations 2014” Jazz Festival in Frauenfeld. What started as a loose project developed into a long term cooperation. The band tries to use traditional acoustic set up for its song-based approach to jazz and incorporates the members’ myriad influences from all over the map, including classical, rock, ambient, and electronica. Each musician is both virtuoso and composer in his own right and they have subdued their own egos for the betterment of the musical message. “In general, we like to let the songs lead the way, and each of these tunes is like a mini world unto itself with its own ecosystem and hidden places to discover.” On top of their technique and raw style, there is a chemistry underlying it all that equals music. Repertuar of the band features a new collection of original tunes and standards, full of strong themes, inspired playing, and improvisational daring.
